How you can help…
-
Protecting and restoring the native blue gum forests in Tasmania and suitable feeding habitats on the mainland are crucial for the survival of this species. Conservation programs that focus on habitat protection can have a significant impact.
-
Control of introduced predators, such as sugar gliders in Tasmania, which prey on nesting parrots, is vital for improving breeding success.
-
Educating the public about the plight of the Swift Parrot and encouraging support for conservation initiatives can help generate the necessary action and funding to protect this remarkable bird.
